David teaches guitar at Guitar Dock in Lenexa , KS; piano and guitar from  Shining Light Music in Lee’s Summit, MO, and piano/guitar from his home studio in Raytown, MO, both privately and for national private lesson referral services Take Lessons. David is also available to teach students from around the country via Skype.

Private guitar, bass, and piano lessons are currently being offered out of David’s home studio in Kansas City, MO. Beginning, intermediate, and advanced students are all welcome. David has taught privately for over sixteen years, students ranging from ages 5 to 80 in a variety of styles from blues and rock, to jazz and classical.

Lessons are given in half hour, forty five minute, or one hour increments and emphasize musicality, versatility,  awareness, physical capability, theory, and the application of that knowledge to the style of music that the student enjoys. David teaches from a variety of methods, including Jay EuDaly’s “Vertical Truth: Chordal Mechanisms for the Guitar”,  Christopher Parkening’s Classical Guitar Method and other assorted curriculae.  A number of resources for David’s students can also be found online, including sheet music,  demonstration videos, and other instructional material.
